shoelove

These were the WHYRED shoes I dreamed about, but as like much else, didn't get them (read; couldn't afford them).

So after almost giving up hope, I discovered that my friend Em was keeping a pair of MARNI for H&M shoes in her closet, she didn't want. She sold them to me for a very reasonable price, and win-win, I have a pair of gorgeous shoes and she got rid of something she couldn't walk in.
A pretty good look alike huh?

smack that lipstick on and get going

I went a bit overboard on the lipsticks lately, but I recently found out that even though my lips are tiny and insignificant, I can still pull off the colorful wonderfulness of a lipstick. Here are my latest 4 buys;

I have been on the lookout for a dark lipstick à la this, and as almost always, MAC had the solution, in the color MEDIA. The other lipstick I have been on the lookout for, is a pale cold purple lipstick, to compliment my upcoming purple hair. I have yet to find the exact color I'm looking for, but I came pretty close by combining INGLOT's light purplish pink lipstick with the Gina Tricot dark purple one. The last lipstick is a pale babypink by MAC, and also has the same pale "unnatural" look to it that I'm looking for. All in all, a successful lipstick hunt.

Thought I might as well show you my whole collection. Not all of them are being used, as you can see, but anyways, here they are.

in honor of the man himself

He was surely a nutty, but a genious non the less. I'm talking about Alexander McQueen.
I saw this supercool übernice awesonmess itself top on one of the  markets we visited in Thailand. I got somekind of internal brain-bleed and didn't buy it, even though I instantly fell in love with it. I moaned about the top forever afterwards, and knew I made a huge mistake in not buying it. My friend grew tired of my whining, and probably went back to that market just to shut me up. She gave it to me when I went to CPH to visit. I was so happy I could die. What a friend wouldn't do...! THX Simone :)
Never you mind the wrinkles, it just came out of my luggage (when this picture was taken). But isn't it fucking amazing?

Material love is so underrated!

Overkill is the best kill. Take a look at my new ZARA silvery snakeskin pattern shiny jeans with gold zippers. Amazingly cool. I'm in love with them.
I'm wearing, as I said, Zara jeans or pants, same same but different, COS teeshirt, long sleeved Monki shirt, Gina Tricot scarf, H&M sunnies and ShoeBiz suede heeled boots.
The jewelry was mixed gold and silver (as are the pants). I wore silver rings, silver earrings and my copper robot-skeleton bought on the greatest market in Bangkok.

new shoes is good news

I have been on the lookout for a pair of black pumps. Almost all the heels I own are either boots or wedges, and I really needed some plain pumps or something nice with a "slimmer" heel. And now I found them.
Not that these are like plain stilettos or anything, they're still very chunky, but they were just what I was looking for. A pair of pumps with a little extra. Or actually what I was looking for I found in Topshop in CPH, but for the price, these were more me (read suitable for my current broke situation). 35€, not bad.

But since Skopunkten, the store I bought the shoes from, had a "buy 2 get one pair for free", or "buy one pair pay half price on the second pair", I also bought another pair. Again a pair I have been drooling over for a year...so I guess it was okay!
40€. Score.

Autumn; you can bring it!

news in the closet

I was so looking forward to doing a little shopping in CPH, which I totally did, but I'm not gonna bore you with showing everything here. Just flashing some of the items, that's all.

This black dress from H&M is so nice and comfy. It's flowy and has an open back, and is shorter in the front than the back. I'll style it with a thin belt to give shape, or just let it hang to create a more dramatic look, with a statement necklace maybe.
I'm trying out the whites aswell. This top is from H&M trend, and just had to come home with me.
This might not be the most fashionable piece of clothing I own, but it just might be the softest! I'm trying to build up a basic wardrobe, and this delicate wool cardigan is a sure hit for many years to come! Cos had piles of other cool things as well, but I guess I did good in only spending on this one.

john lennon ish

Freaking finally!! I got them I got them! and I am so-so SO happy! My new shades are the third pair in my Ray Ban collection, now only the Clubmasters are missing. I had to take the men's model, yet again, but I don't care. I'm going to be one big mean smiling lean tip machine at work today. Yeah!

bold and pink

I saw this cute bag on my friend Martina's arm and fell in love. It's pink, I know, but I guess a little color can't hurt. It's half suede leather and the pink part is pure pleather, so are the handles.
But isn't it cool!? I'm loving it!
oh yeah btw it's from H&M.

h&m reunion

I can't tell you how much I love H&M! It's heaven. Imagine how happy I was to find a huge H&M in Singapore. Very happy. So happy I spent two hours there. I went through every item in the trend section, and found various other nice things to try on in the other sections. Since I came home to a H&M without the trend section, I was glad that Singapore had it! So here are some amateur pics I took in the dressing rooms, taken with my really good camera; my iPhone. Hehe.

I tried on this amazing trend silk blouse, that cost a fortune. I pared it up with these cool black pants in kind of horseback riding material - spandex something. I would so have bought them had they had them in my seize... :/ the shirt came home with me though!

Here are the same pants in beige. I wanted them in that creme beige color as well, but my chubby legs are just not made for elastic material that shows off what lies beneath
The trend top was a hit, and in the shopping cart it went.

This blouse was just gorgeous, but I didn't go for it. Probably coz I'm poor and didn't have any immediate idea of where to wear it and how to style it. Plus not the most flattering sleeve cut, or the lack of it, for my arms... need some toning asap. Gasp.

I also bought the cool rose-gold colored sunnies chain, silver sandals and a hair thingy to make a bun. A hair-bun thingy...

Now; I need pants.

maxi it

Flashing my new maxi dress. The comfiest thing from Forever 21. I'm living in it atm.

a travelers favorites

Some of my favorite things in my packpack.
And check out the wall! I love the wall. I want a wall like that. Raw concrete chic.
(it was the unfinished walls inside the cheapest room we could find on Koh Phagnan...)

Loving my semi new Stella McCartney comfy bra, new fake sunnies, silver necklace with a bird skull, white top with gold studs from Zara and my watch from Skagen.

But my poor Skagen watch got stolen! So now there's some asian prick running around with my watch, probably trying to sell it for cheap cheap. ARGH!

The bra from Stella McCartney, found in an underwear outlet in Melbourne. Apparently I'm really into underwear, and apparently I'm willing to invest a lot on underwear, both money wise and time wise. Not good. It's becoming a destructive habit.

My new favorite necklace! A long chain in silver, with a tiny silver bird skull. I bought it at the weekend market in Bangkok. Superb market, SO worth the visit there!

Round shaped sunnies were what I was looking for, and these were the ones that joined my sunglass collection. Just a bummer they have to be 'Ray Ban's', but it's quite the challenge finding something in Asia that's not fake labelled.

280612

Outfit post, long time no see. Here in Singapore I feel inspired, and therefor feel like trying to look somewhat decent. Today I went to the royal botanic garden, and headed straight towards the orchid garden. So posing as a common tourist, the poor girl photographing me had no idea the tourist pose was just a disguise for an opportunity for an outfit photo. I look very awkward and sweaty, but hey, I produced an outfit post.
I wore a new top from H&M trend, cut off Levi's shorts, new shoes from H&M, necklace from Istanbul, Ray Ban sunnies worn on a rose-gold colored chain (again new and from H&M). Very matchy matchy in color, but I kinda like it.
